FOOD TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS COMPLETE INTERNSHIPS IN THE NETHERLANDS
STUDENTS COMPLETE INTERNSHIPS IN THE NETHERLANDS THROUGH THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM SUPPORTED BY THE ANKARA CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY
As a result of the cooperation protocol signed by the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ACI) No. 3 Miscellaneous Food Industry Professional Committee to enhance the quality of vocational education, students from Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School completed internships in Europe. Following the overseas internship program held in Leiden, the Netherlands, under the Erasmus+ Vocational Education Student and Staff Mobility Accreditation, ACI Vice Chairman of the Board Mete Çağlayan and Committee Members welcomed the students at ACI.
The cooperation initiatives carried out by the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ACI) No. 3 Miscellaneous Food Industry Professional Committee with Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School to strengthen vocational education continue to deliver tangible results.
As an outcome of the cooperation protocol, students from the school's Food Technology Department participated in an overseas internship program in Leiden, the Netherlands, under the Erasmus+ Programme, gaining valuable international experience.
Following the internship program, a meeting was held at ACI to comprehensively evaluate the students’ experiences abroad, their professional achievements, and the outcomes of the program. The meeting was attended by ACI No. 3 Committee Chairman Hüseyin Kalebozan, Assembly Member and Committee Vice Chairman Hasan Cem Taşkaldıran, Assembly Member İhsan Cahit Kızıldel, Committee Members Adnan Rüştü Çağlayan, Sinan Kaya and Vahap Kaan Eroğlu, Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Principal Ömer Ceylan, teacher Murat Aksu, and the participating students.

Speaking at the meeting, ACI Vice Chairman of the Board Mete Çağlayan emphasized the strategic importance of vocational education for the sustainable development of industry.
“The key to developing the qualified workforce our industry requires is to connect our young people with the industrial sector and international best practices throughout their education. The experience gained through the Erasmus+ Programme makes a significant contribution to both the professional knowledge and the broader perspectives of our students.”
Vice Chairman Çağlayan stated that the internship program in Leiden provided students with the opportunity to experience different production cultures and observe modern industrial practices firsthand.

ACI No. 3 Miscellaneous Food Industry Professional Committee Chairman Hüseyin Kalebozan also highlighted the importance of vocational education for the development of the sector.
“Our food industry requires a well-qualified workforce capable of adapting to rapidly evolving technologies and changing production processes. Therefore, we attach great importance to introducing our young people to the industry and enabling them to gain international experience while they are still pursuing their education.”
Chairman Kalebozan noted that the Erasmus+ overseas internship program not only enhanced the students’ professional competencies but also enabled them to experience different cultures and build self-confidence.

STUDENTS HIGHLY SATISFIED WITH THE PROGRAM
The students who participated in the Erasmus+ Programme stated that their experience in the Netherlands made significant contributions to both their professional and personal development. They emphasized that they had the opportunity to observe different production techniques firsthand and expressed their gratitude to the Ankara Chamber of Industry and the ACI No. 3 Miscellaneous Food Industry Professional Committee for providing them with this valuable opportunity.
